October 2-4, 2015 at the Gaelic College
This year’s festival continues our tradition of great workshops, readings, commissions and music. New all day workshops, a musical tribute to David Adams Richards and original work by a group of Cape Breton artists highlight our seventh festival.
Our featured writers Friday night include Lawrence Hill, Lisa Moore, Kathleen Winter, Ian Hamilton, Linden MacIntyre, Joan Clark, Miranda Hill and Megan Coles, who represent the wide diversity of writing in this country and throughout the world. We also welcome to our festival Jared Bland, Arts Editor for The Globe and Mail who will facilitate the weekend. The festival brings together these internationally respected award-winning authors in a weekend sure to delight and inspire both writers and readers.
Saturday night we will present the first Cabot Trail Writers Festival Art Gallery featuring original works by ten Cape Breton visual artists who present cover designs for ten Canadian novels. The Gallery Opening will be followed by Dan MacCormack’s Symphony of Ghosts, a Tribute to David Adams Richards.
Sunday we will present two panel discussions, tasty brunch and the songwriting of Dan MacCormack.
Day passes for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, individual options for Saturday, all-Festival bundle…
