Storyteller on Board
A Special Visit with Our Bookmobile
Ken Chisholm—Storyteller-in-Residence
On Saturday morning,
we invite all the younger folk from our community to visit the
Bookmobile when it makes a special stop at our festival. On
board will be the Cape Breton Regional Library's first-ever
storyteller-in-residence, the multi-talented
Ken Chisholm.
Ken will engage and inspire in his inimitable way, and encourage his youthful listeners to tell their own tales. If you bring your library cards, the library will be open!
There's no cost for this event, and all are welcome. Space on board is limited, so preference will be given to our young folk.
The Bookmobile will remain on site through the lunch hour. By all means, drop in and take "the tour", no matter what your age! Our librarians are justifiably proud of this baby.
Telling Tales
If you're in elementary school, you'll want to climb aboard the Bookmobile at 10:00 on Saturday 1 October, to share some stories with Ken (we hear he'll bring his guitar). You'll find the Bookmobile at North River Community Hall.
This storytelling event will run from 10:00 to 10:45 am. If you've never visited the Bookmobile, stick around after the event! Kate and Larry will be delighted to show you around, and introduce you to this travelling library. Later, our librarians and Ken will join us all for lunch; your chance to get to know them and our library system even better.
